Maps & Walkthroughs
Project: Escape Room currently features 10 themed maps. Each uses environmental puzzles, keypad codes, keys, and inventory items. Solutions below reflect community-verified routes as of the last update—verify in-game if a puzzle behaves differently after patches.
Last verified: August 2, 2026. Visits synced to 77.08M+ (Rolimon's); Challenge guide ranks maps by live win rates. Confirm keypad answers in-game after Serif Games patches.
School
Beginner-friendly entry map
- In the starting classroom, collect four digits from the drawer (8), green board (6), poster (3), and notice board (2). Enter 8263 on the computer.

- Take the paintbrush in Classroom 3-A. In Classroom 1-A, note wall numbers 1=Red, 2=Yellow, 3=Pink and paint canvases in 3-A to match.
- An arrow appears on the green board. Collect the screwdriver, open the metal grate beside the green locker in 1-A, and find the Front Entrance key under a floor tile.
- Use the Front Entrance key at the main exit to complete the escape.

Beginner vs Challenge
Every map in Project: Escape Room can be played in Beginner or Challenge mode. Beginner simplifies certain logic chains and is the best starting point if you are new to escape rooms or playing on mobile.
Challenge mode uses stricter timers, denser clue layouts, or extra steps—August 2 Rolimon data shows Challenge escape rates from ~6.0% (Temple) to ~13.3% (School), while Beginner awards remain far less common percentages on most maps.
- Start with School or Zoo on Beginner before attempting Challenge—see the Beginner and Challenge Mode Guides for ranked orders.
- Temple, Pyramid, Spaceship, and Lab Challenge are the steepest spikes—use quick answers, Co-op Tips, and the Puzzle Codes hub when stuck.
- Private servers support up to 10 players; standard public lobbies allow up to 5.
- There is no pause and no built-in free hints during a run—plan routes before entering Challenge.
Controls
Project: Escape Room uses standard Roblox interaction on PC, mobile, and console. Most puzzles require clicking objects, dragging items to hotspots, and entering keypad digits.
- PC: Click to interact; E or click on proximity prompts for tools and doors.
- Mobile: Tap precisely on small objects (keys, tiles, vent screws)—zoom the camera when the game allows.
- Console/Xbox: Use Roblox default interact button for prompts; movement sticks help laser and maze sections in Bank.
- Inventory items must be equipped or selected before use on targets (keypads, grates, valves).
Codes & Rewards
There are no official Roblox promo codes for Project: Escape Room (Place ID 17844293708) that grant free items or skips. Many websites list unrelated codes for the older DevUltra game Escape Room or for real-world escape room businesses—those will not work here.
Follow the Serif Games Roblox group and game page for legitimate update announcements. Never enter account passwords on third-party “code generator” sites.
- In-game “codes” are puzzle solutions (e.g., keypad 8263), not redeemable promo strings.
- Permanent map Hints cost 25 Robux each in the store—optional, not required if you use walkthroughs.
- Badges track escapes per map and mode (e.g., Escaped Pyramid Challenge).
Items & Keys
Keys and tools are map-specific and do not carry between rooms. Common item types:
- Classroom keys (School): Classroom 1-A, 3-A, Front Entrance.
- Prison: Prison Cell key, shovel, Gate Padlock key.
- Bank: Screwdriver, hammer, valve key, painting quest items.
- Pyramid: Symbol tablets, hourglass inputs, gem counts.
- Temple: Ruby, Amethyst, Sapphire, torch for braziers.
- Spaceship: Color key cards, crowbar, pod access.
- Pirate Ship: Chest key, chess piece, paddle.
- Zoo: Exhibit keys, gift shop keys, bus fare bills.
- Santa's Workshop: Robot parts, wrapped gifts, safe key.
- Lab: Test tubes, red button, screwdriver, control key.
Hints, Badges & Store
The in-game store sells permanent per-map Hint products (25 Robux each) that nudge you toward the next objective. Ten Hint game passes now cover School, Prison, Bank, Pyramid, Temple, Spaceship, Pirate Ship, Zoo, Santa's Workshop, and Lab. This wiki is a free alternative with full step lists.
- Welcome badge: awarded on first join (~100% Rolimon win rate).
- Per-map badges distinguish Beginner vs Challenge escapes (e.g., Escaped Temple! [CHALLENGE] ~5.2% community win rate).
- Private servers: up to 10 players for coordinated puzzle solving.
- Voice chat is not supported on the experience page—use external voice if coordinating with friends.
Badges & Game Passes
Roblox awards badges when you complete a map in Beginner or Challenge mode. Challenge badges are significantly rarer—community trackers show single-digit win rates on the hardest maps.
Each of the ten maps has two escape badges (Beginner and Challenge). August 2 Rolimon data puts Temple Challenge at ~6.0%, Pyramid Challenge at ~7.3%, and Lab Challenge at ~8.1%; School Challenge leads at ~13.3% with Prison near ~12.6%.
Hint game passes unlock all hints for one map permanently and work in both modes—including Pyramid Hints. They are optional; walkthrough pages on this wiki replace paid hints.
- School Hints, Prison Hints, Bank Hints, Pyramid Hints, Temple Hints (25 Robux each)
- Spaceship Hints, Pirate Ship Hints, Zoo Hints, Santa's Workshop Hints, Lab Hints (25 Robux each)
Win rates change as more players finish maps. Check Rolimon's or in-game badge pages for current stats before chasing Challenge completions.
Multiplayer & Tips
Co-op is strongly recommended for Challenge maps. Split responsibilities so one player tracks codes while others search for physical clues.
- Call out keypad digits clearly—wrong entries can waste time on timed sections.
- Bank lasers and Prison yard sections benefit from one player watching guards or patterns while others solve.
- Mobile players: assign reading-heavy tasks to desktop teammates when possible.
- Re-enter Beginner to teach new friends before farming Challenge badges.
FAQ
Is this the same as DevUltra’s Escape Room?
No. Project: Escape Room is by seriif (Serif Games). The classic Escape Room (Place ID 707652019) is a different franchise with its own maps and codes.
Are there working promo codes?
Not for this game. Ignore coupon sites and old Escape Room code lists. Puzzle keypad numbers in our Maps section are gameplay solutions, not redeem codes.
Is there a tier list or meta build?
No competitive tier list applies—this is a cooperative puzzle game. Map difficulty is subjective; most players rank Bank, Pyramid, and Lab among the hardest.
Are there official auto-complete scripts?
No supported scripts exist. Executors violate Roblox Terms of Use and rarely solve dynamic puzzles. Use walkthroughs instead.
How many maps are there?
Ten: School, Prison, Bank, Pyramid, Temple, Spaceship, Pirate Ship, Zoo, Santa’s Workshop, and Lab. More maps are announced via the Serif Games group.
Does Project: Escape Room work on mobile?
Yes. The official Roblox listing notes mobile support. Tap carefully on small interactables (vent screws, keys) and start on Beginner mode when learning a map on phone.
What is the newest map?
Lab is the latest playable map (February 2026). Office is community-tracked for August 10, 2026 (~7:00 AM target, ~8 days from Aug 2 sync) within an Aug 10–31 event window—see Upcoming Maps, Co-op Tips, and the Challenge guide. Pyramid (May 2025) was the previous major drop.
