Solo Play

The official Roblox listing says you can play Project: Escape Room solo or with a group of up to five. One player can finish every map. This hub is for searchers who type “solo,” “alone,” or “single player”: which maps are fair on your own, which ones want a second set of eyes, and how to keep a Challenge timer from eating a one-person run.

Yes — solo is fully supported

Place ID 17844293708. Public lobbies still cap at 5 if strangers join; a private server is optional for solo, not required.

  • Every puzzle is completable by one avatar. Keys, keypads, and inventory do not need a second player to “hold” a door.
  • Beginner mode is the solo default. Challenge timers and extra observation steps are what make one-person Temple and Pyramid painful, not missing a co-op mechanic.
  • Office is still two different answer sheets. Solo players mix 7615 and 6482 more often than squads because nobody is watching the lobby sign. Open the Modes hub before you type.
  • There is no pause. Screenshot posters, sales graphs, and cubicle props. Keep this wiki on a second screen or a phone.
  • August 29, 2026 Rolimon sync: 82.98M+ visits, ~2.2K CCU, ~92.8% approval, 432K favorites. Temple Challenge (~5.5%) remains the rarest badge even for groups.

Best maps to learn solo

Teaching order, not a speedrun. Clear Beginner before you flip the lobby sign.

Maps that punish one player

Still soloable — budget extra time, screenshots, and Beginner first.

Solo habits that actually help

  1. Lock Beginner on the lobby sign. The sign defaults to Challenge. One click before the elevator. Office is the map where the wrong sheet looks like a broken keypad.
  2. Equip every key. Collecting is not using. Open inventory, select the item, then click the door. Solo runs die on “I already have the key” more than on hard math.
  3. Read, then type. Type keypad digits slowly. One wrong digit on Challenge wastes the timer you cannot pause.
  4. Save Temple and Pyramid for last. Pyramid Challenge (~6.5%) and Lab Challenge (~7.2%) sit just above Temple. The Difficulty hub is the full teaching order.

Dragonsubmann’s School Beginner walkthrough is the cleanest one-player demo — keypads, inventory, and the front-entrance key. Watch it once, then follow the text guide. No squad required.
