Project: Escape Room uses standard Roblox interaction. Most escapes fail on missed clicks—tiny keys, vent screws, and keypad digits—not on “wrong” theory. This hub expands the home Controls section so mobile and console players can set up before opening a map guide.
Click objects to inspect; use E or the on-screen proximity prompt for doors, tools, and drawers.
Zoom with the scroll wheel when reading small posters, Ping-pong scores, or Office desk props.
Type keypad digits carefully—Office Challenge 6482 will never open a Beginner drawer (7615).
Mobile
Tap precisely on keys, tiles, wire cutters, and vent screws; pinch-zoom when the camera allows.
Assign reading-heavy posters and sales graphs to a desktop teammate in co-op when possible.
Start every new map on Beginner—finger mis-taps waste Challenge attempts faster on phone.
Console / Xbox
Use the Roblox default interact button for proximity prompts; keep the camera slow in Bank laser halls.
Movement sticks help maze and sewer valve sections more than raw button mashing.
Private servers (up to 10 players) are easier for voice-coordinated Challenge farms than public lobbies (5).
Inventory & keypads
Equip or select an item before using it on a target—keys, crowbars, screwdrivers, and shovels do nothing while unequipped.
Map tools never carry between maps. Clearing Office does not keep the Break Room key for Lab.
Wrong keypad entries usually mean the wrong mode (Office) or a missed environmental digit—re-read the clue before spamming.
There is no pause and no free in-run hint UI. Plan the route from the text guide, then enter.
Lobby habits before you load a map
The mode sign defaults to Challenge. Click it to Beginner before stepping into a map elevator.
Call the mode out loud in co-op—Office is the map where Beginner and Challenge codes fully split.
Join the Serif Games group for sneak peeks; this wiki is unofficial and may lag a patch by a day.
Optional Hints cost 25 Robux per map and work in both modes; walkthroughs here stay free.
